Robert Vrijland heeft vele concerten gegeven in binnen- en buitenland: zowel als solist als in diverse kamermuziek samenstellingen. Zijn spel wordt omschreven als karaktervol en natuurlijk. Hij speelt werken van Robert Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy en Franz Liszt.
